BREEDING PROGRAM
Classics Eventing and Freedom Equestrian Center are proud to announce that we have teamed up to launch our US-based sporthorse breeding program. Over the past several years, the Classics Eventing partnership has had great success procuring and importing high level performance horses from Europe. While we have greatly enjoyed sourcing these amazing horses, we have also dreamed of being able to produce and raise the same caliber of horses right here in the USA. We believe that the US-bred warmblood can hold the same prestige in upper level sport that we all have seen from their European counterparts - so much so that we have invested in that journey ourselves. Our vision for this breeding program is truly one of patriotism, and our ultimate goal is to see the US-bred warmblood earn their place amongst the elite at the highest levels of sport, especially under the saddle of US riders. We also endeavor to find ways to help US breeders come together to learn from each other and advance all US-based breeding programs for many years to come.

Concetto x Orion Fortuna
Tenny is a bay 2014 German Sporthorse mare, bred in Germany and imported to the US as a young horse. She is a lovely type, great mover, bold, and has plenty of jumping scope. Tenny has competed through 2* level eventing in the US, and her sire Concetto showjumped to the 1.60m Nations Cup level with Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum. Concetto has produced offspring to the top levels of both showjumping and dressage. Tenny's dam, Uyana Cara, showjumped to 1.45m herself, and her dam Myra Cara competed to mid-level dressage. Tenny's direct mare family has also produced two Grand Prix level dressage horses, making her a lovely mix of both dressage and jumping lines.
Tennessee Whiskey In Foal To Durango VDL
Durango is the first approved son of the young and talented stallion Zirocco Blue VDL. Zirocco Blue VDL, with rider Jur Vrieling, is currently one of the most striking young stallions in The Netherlands. He is the son of the famous Mr. Blue who jumped at the
highest level and is sire to many top jumpers like Simon, Sapphire B and Plot Blue.
Grand sire Lux jumped at Grand Prix level and won the Triple Crown. He is sire to many good jumpers, for example, Utascha and Tornesch. Lucky Boy xx was one of the key improvement thoroughbreds in the riding horse breeding, especially if found in the mare line, as were sport offspring Calypso and Van Gogh. Durango is from a proven mother line with many ‘predicates’. Dam Narona carries ‘star’ and ‘preferent’. In addition to Durango is she also dam of 1.35m jumper Silvio. Granddam Rebecca is ‘star, preferent and prestatie’ and is dam of the international jumper Opstalan’s Power. From this mare line are also the international jumping horses and approved stallions Torlando, Roadrunner, Uleika and Bon Ami.
Durango is a pleasant and appealing stallion with much balance in his canter. He jumps with good reflexes, is very careful and has a lot of scope. He demonstrated these qualities during his stallion test. He passed this test with a total score of 81.5 points. He received for canter, rideability and character an 8.5 and for all the other jumping elements an 8. Durango was reserve Champion of the Fall Stallion Test.
